perspec matlib
Explore material options, compare them by look and cost, then get your BOQ in one click.
A material library for architects and interior designers in India. It works inside SketchUp and on the web.
The problem
Material selection still takes too long.
Every project needs the right materials at the right cost. Getting there is slow, and most of the work happens outside the design.
The same materials, project after project
Finding new brands and vendors takes time, so designers fall back on the materials they already know.
Quantities counted by hand
A BOQ still means measuring areas, adding wastage and counting tiles, boxes and sheets in a spreadsheet. Every design change means doing it again.
Look and cost live in different places
Samples and catalogues show the look. Rates come from calls and messages with dealers. Nobody sees both together at the moment the choice is made.
Clients cannot picture the result
A swatch on a table does not show a finished room. Clients decide late, and cost surprises arrive later still.
The demo
This is the whole thing.
A living room and kitchen go from a SketchUp model to a costed BOQ in about a minute.
How it works
From model to BOQ in four steps.
- 01
Paint your model with real products
Open the perspec matlib extension in SketchUp and apply a product with the Paint Bucket. Every surface is measured, with wastage, boxes and sheets worked out for you.
- 02
Export to the web
Send your design to perspec in the browser with all your initial choices in place.
- 03
Explore and compare
Try other materials in a live view with real textures. The cost updates with every change, so you can find what looks right and still fits the budget.
- 04
Render, price and send it back
Turn the view into a render for your client, generate the BOQ in one click and send your final choices back into SketchUp.
For designers
More options, less spreadsheet work.
Discover new materials
Browse products from many brands in one library, filtered by category, with the price range, the vendor and the size on every card.
See look and cost together
Every swap shows the new look in the room and the new cost at the same time.
Quantities you can trust
Quantities are measured from your model, with openings deducted, wastage added and totals rounded up to whole boxes and sheets.
A BOQ in one click
Each line carries the product, the quantity, the pack count, an estimate range and the vendor contact.
Renders clients understand
A realistic render of your chosen view helps a client decide sooner.
Stay in SketchUp
You keep working in your own model, and the final choices go straight back into it.
perspec matlib is free for designers.

Questions
Common questions.
What is perspec matlib?
It is a material library with a SketchUp extension and a web app. You apply real products to your model, compare options by look and cost, render a view and generate a BOQ.
When does the pilot start?
Soon. Everyone on the pilot list gets an email with the start date and the access details.
Does it cost anything?
It is free for designers. Brands joining the pilot will hear about terms when we contact them.
Do I need SketchUp?
The pilot starts with SketchUp. Support for other tools follows, based on what pilot users need.
How accurate is the BOQ?
Quantities are measured from your model, with wastage and whole packs. Prices are shown as estimate ranges, because net rates vary by city and by dealer. You confirm the final rates with the vendor.
Are the renders exact?
Renders are generated from your view and are meant for client conversations. The live view in the web app shows each product with its real texture at true scale.
What happens to my model?
Your model is used to measure, show and price your design. It is not shared with brands.
